Briarcliff Manor – May 20, 2010 - Twelve employees of Elant at Brandywine were recently recognized for completing milestone service anniversaries at the annual Employee Recognition Day held at the 131-bed, not-for-profit nursing home and rehabilitation center in Briarcliff Manor.
Each year Elant recognizes employees’ service with the organization in increments of five years through retirement. At this year’s celebration, employees were recognized with 5 to 40 years of service and were each awarded with a service award pin.
This year’s top honor for the longest term of service – 40 years – was awarded to Glenville Ashley of Ossining, a staff member of the nursing home’s housekeeping and maintenance team. “Glen is a manager’s dream, one of those guys you can go to for anything,” said Maura Brennan, administrator of Elant at Brandywine. “He has a can-do attitude, is hard working and always has a smile on his face. Our residents love him”.
Other top milestone-year recipients included:
35 years: Joanne Farrell, Administrative Assistant
30 years: Olivet Williams, Rehabilitation Aide
