Goshen – Feb. 5, 2010 - Dozens of residents from the Glen Arden Continuing Care Retirement Community enjoyed animated story time Friday morning, thanks to professional storyteller Eileen Stelljes, of “It’s Time For a Story.” Stelljes, outfitted in period costume, focused her talk on anecdotes regarding the constitution.
“I think Eileen is excellent; it shows that she does a lot of research to get tidbits about our founding fathers,” said Glen Arden resident and retired school teacher Mary Jane Sorrell, who has heard Stelljes’ stories before at family reunions. “She holds your interest by being a good story teller.”
The narration was all part of Glen Arden’s monthly Women’s Breakfast, where different topics of general interest are explored. This month’s gathering was highlighted by a sea of red outfits, all to recognize the American Heart Association’s “National Wear Red Day.”
