The COO position is a key c-level member of our executive team and is expected to bring to the table a high degree of expertise, as well as the ability to envision innovative and sound initiatives related to today’s industry challenges. The COO is responsible for strategic oversight and successful execution of business objectives for our facilities, focusing on quality excellence, business viability/census, process efficiencies, and employee engagement. He or she plays a key role in developing a short and long term strategy and business plan and is accountable to establish organizational competencies needed to position our organization as the premier provider of senior care services. He or she has a responsibility to manage all activities in a manner consistent with regulatory requirements, the furtherance of our business and Mission in a way that demonstrates the highest degree of integrity and ethics.
Frequent regional travel is required; must have valid drivers license/reliable
The incumbent must have exceptionally strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills and must be able to thrive in an environment that requires strict accountability and adherence to best-practice standards.
A Masters degree in Business/Public Administration/Health Administration, or related is preferred with a minimum of 10 years of professional long-term care experience, preferably at an executive level and in for-profit environments. A current New York State Nursing Home Administrator’s License preferred; experience in New York DOH regulations required.
