Glen Arden, Inc. is currently seeking a Human Resources Generlist to service our community, located in Goshen, NY. Successful candidates will be required to act as the lead human resources consultant/advocate to the organization’s business leaders and employees on all employee, labor, compliance, recruitment, and payroll related issues. The appropriate candidate will demonstrate an ability to self designate and prioritize tasks in an efficient manner to best serve our community’s mission, vision and values.
•Understands human resources needs of all departments via regular communication with department heads and analysis of company human resources data.
•Provides coaching and advice on issues involving employee relations, performance management, disciplinary action, and employment status changes, promotions, and terminations. Prepares/edits employee performance or disciplinary documentation as needed or requested and provides to department heads.
•Advises on the application of Federal and State labor and employment laws and policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
•On-boards all employees consistent with state & federal regulations as well as in accordance with a union contract.
•Assists Administrator and Directors of all departments with annual performance reviews of their department managers.
•Understands mandatory training requirements, identifies training/development needs of our community and works with L&D team to develop and provide appropriate company-specific training and policies.
•Assists our community with implementation of Interactive program under the ADA.
•Analyzes human resources data and recommends/facilitates actions as needed.
•Lead/oversee investigations of HR-related complaints/issues.
•Assists with job description development/implementation.
•Creates or revises human resources policies, procedures and related documents/forms when necessary including implementation upon the approval of the company Chief Executive Officer.
•Audits selected HR activities such as personnel files, FLSA or HR policies/processes periodically to determine consistency of administration and compliance.
•Processes workday transactions, i.e., transfers and rehires, employee increases, LOAs.
•Promotes our organizations core values and acts as cultural champion.
•Files quarterly Payroll Based Journal Report.
•Responsible for the processing of bi-weekly payroll
•Responsible for conducting an organizing new employee orientations.
•Other responsibilities as assigned.
