Sessions will feature golf instruction, discussion on the sport’s benefits for seniors
GOSHEN, N.Y. (July 3, 2012) – Elant will hold a series of free golf clinics for area seniors throughout July, August and September. The clinics are limited to the first 30 participants and will take place at The Castle Driving Range in Chester, N.Y.
In addition to golf instruction, Elant’s Director of Rehabilitation Services Donna Frazier will be on hand to discuss golf’s many benefits for seniors (exercise, hand-eye coordination, etc.). The clinics are slated for July 13 and 27; Aug. 10 and 24 and Sept. 21 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Seniors are invited to participate in one or more of the sessions, which will be led by an instructor. Refreshments will also be served.
The series of golf lessons will serve as preparation for the inaugural Juniors Swinging for Seniors golf outing on Sunday, Sept. 30. This tournament will pair Orange County seniors with youth, ages 7 to14, to compete in foursomes to win prizes for senior organizations throughout the region. Teams are sponsored by local businesses.
